ABOUT THE COURSE
Often described as a “Tale of two nines”, trees, marsh, bunkers, heavy rough and, as it’s name suggests, many water hazards are all challenging features of this magnificent course.
Apart from the opening hole, the front nine has a distinct parkland feel being tree-lined and relatively water-free. A strong front nine score can be carded if you navigate smartly through it’s target-oriented fairways, deep bunkers, and lightening fast greens.
The back nine however is a different story. Transitioning into a links-style layout, the vast wetlands and marsh of the Botany lakes frequently come into play. Thirsting for miss-hit golf balls, it is ‘Risk and Reward’ as you navigate these stunning holes with their lush, true greens treacherously tempting you to take-on the water.
